NASA MOB/WOB initiative

The MOB/WOB Incubator EZ/EC project was created to assist minority-owned businesses (MOB) and women-owned businesses (WOB), within the Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) Far West Region,  in the creation of High Performance Information Systems (HPIS). Our approach is to use business incubators as partners in addressing digital divide issues in the region

The goal of this work  first included:

  • Identifying the Federal Empowerment Zones / Enterprise Communities and State Enterprise Zones in the Eight states that are defined as the Far West region.
  • Identifying the locations of incubators within these 8 western states.
  • Determine incubators with minority or women owned businesses.
  • Targeting MOB/WOB businesses and assist in incorporating HPIS into their future operations.
